We just wanted to give you a quick update. We've contacted our host and
they tell us that they are moving our site to a faster and newer
server.
In the past couple of days we've been experiencing a slow and sluggish performance and also some other issues on the back-end.
So our host decided to just transfer our site to a new server, in hopes that all the recent issues will be solved.
Why does the forum not show current threads? Well, our host decided to link
to our old backup on their server (Nov. 2013). And this is the reason
why lots of new threads are missing. But worry not, all this will be
taken care of once the transfer is over. We keep weekly backups of our
site folders, files, and database.
My best guess is that our host didn't think our site would change that
much in the past 4 months, so they linked an old backup, so we had
something to look at while the transfer is complete. How wrong they
were! They probably didn't realize that our site is a forum with daily
activity :) I am sure they are used to customers that don't update
frequently their websites as we do. :)
We'll provide another update, once we know things are back to normal.
And NO, this was not an April Fool's Day stunt.
Even though I got a shock when I saw a lot of new threads missing on our
site. Like going back to Nov. 2013 in a time machine! lol!
